Strawberry jam

  • 2 kg strawberries,
  • 1.5 kg of sugar,
  • juice of 1 lemon,

Mix the strawberries in the food processor. Put the resulting puree in a double-bottomed pan (or on a plate) Add the sugar and lemon juice and mix. Put the pan on low heat and let it boil, until the syrup decreases and the jam is bound (about 1 hour), during which time we froth from time to time and mix taking care not to stick to the pot. ! To check if the jam is bound, you can put on a plate 1 tablespoon of jam, when it has cooled, if it does not flow it means it is ready! Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars (kept warm), turn the jars with the lid down and leave them to cool. We store them in a cool place.
